Course description
Basic Laboratory Safety is a mandatory course for all PhD students working in a wet lab. It will teach you how to assess and manage risks associated with laboratory work and give you essential knowledge and skills for your PhD studies, as well as for your potential future in a managing position with work environment responsibility.
Admittance to the course is based on time since registration to doctoral studies. The course should be completed as soon as possible after registration and must be completed before your half-time review.
Requirements and Selection
Prerequisite courses, or equivalent
Experience of and/or education in laboratory work.
Selection
Selection will be based on:
1) the relevance of the course syllabus for the applicant’s doctoral project (according to written motivation).
2) start date of doctoral studies (priority given to earlier start date).
