Course description
This course provides an overview of state-of-the-art small animal imaging techniques, including CT, MRI, PET, ultrasound, photoacoustic imaging, and optical imaging. Students will combine theoretical principles with hands-on training in experimental design, image acquisition, and data analysis, with special focus on multimodality imaging and co-registration. By the end of the course, participants will be able to select and apply appropriate imaging approaches in preclinical studies within their own research field.
Prerequisites and Selection
Prerequisite courses, or equivalent
Students must have passed the courses in laboratory animal science: Function A - Rodents and lagomorphs before attending this course.
Selection
Selection will be based on:
1) the relevance of the course syllabus for the applicant’s individual study plan/research (according to written motivation).
2) start date of doctoral studies (priority given to earlier start date).
