Course description
Malaria is a disease of poverty. Despite the scale-up of control tools, malaria prevalence remains high in many areas of sub-Saharan Africa. The new UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) demand to stop malaria by 2030. How is it possible? What are the major obstacles? When can it be achieved?
The aim of the course is to give you a broad understanding of malaria including current control and research strategies. The topics will be covered by experts in the respective fields. Practical training in malaria microscopy as well as analysation of epidemiological data from an endemic setting will be included.
