Course description
How effectively you present your research results, convey messages, and formulate arguments hugely impacts your ability to reach your professional goals. Our presentation skills determine whether the audience embraces or rejects our ideas and opinions. Experience tells us that more people will listen to your talk than read your scientific publications.
Developing strong presentation skills is an essential aspect of becoming a successful researcher. “Present your research” is designed to help Ph.D. students and postdocs improve their presentation skills by learning and practicing techniques for stage presence, structuring messages, and reducing the fear of public speaking. No matter if you are a seasoned presenter or are facing your first research presentation, because of its individualized format, this course will take you where you need to go to flourish in communicating your research results.
