Course description
Writing research papers is crucial to communicating your results and critical for advancing your career. To ensure that your findings have an impact, your paper must be informative, well-structured, and engaging.
Advanced scientific writing will teach you to become a more effective writer and take your manuscript writing to the next level regarding both structure and language.
Prerequisites and Selection
Prerequisite courses, or equivalent
- Knowledge equivalent to an introductory doctoral course in scientific writing at Karolinska Institutet
- Prior experience in scientific writing
- A draft manuscript and abstract, currently in progress (not yet published or submitted for peer review), must be submitted prior to the course start to be further developed during the scheduled learning activities.
Selection
Selection will be based on:
1) the relevance of the course syllabus for the applicant’s individual study plan/research (according to written motivation).
2) start date of doctoral studies (priority given to earlier start date).
