Course description
The tumour microenvironment is implicated in cancer progression and response to treatments. This course will focus on key aspects of tumour composition, tumour-stroma interactions, angiogenesis, invasion and metastasis. The course will also highlight the importance of biomarkers and introduce up-to-date model systems.

Prerequisite courses, or equivalent
Basic course in tumor biology and oncology or corresponding knowledge
Selection
Selection will be based on:
1) the relevance of the course syllabus for the applicant’s individual study plan/research (according to written motivation).
2) start date of doctoral studies (priority given to earlier start date).
