Course description
This course provides a short intorduction to the principals of global health policy and management, whereby more emphasis is placed on health policy. We will cover health policy theories and explore case studies by applying different analytical frameworks. We will also cover the principals of managing health policy processes and implementation of these policies. The course draws on examples from throughout the world to explore these topics.

1) the relevance of the course syllabus for the applicant’s doctoral project (according to written motivation).
2) start date of doctoral studies (priority given to earlier start date).
Course director
This course is led by Sibylle Herzig van Wees. Sibylle is a global behavioral and implementation science researcher working with mixed methods. Currently, she researches vaccine confidence, develop interventions to strengthen vaccine confidence and evaluate these interventions in Sweden, Nigeria and Ethiopia. She works on multiple vaccine policy projects that focus on introducing new vaccines in national vaccination schedules. Sibylle has also worked as a public health advisor for the German International Cooperation as a health systems advisor in Cameroon.
