Course description
This course will help participants to understand and discuss different study designs used in pharmacoepidemiological studies. The participants will further gain basic knowledge about how to design, conduct, analyse, interpret and report pharmacoepidemiological studies as well as treatment effects and adverse reactions to pharmaceuticals. The participants will also gain knowledge about determinants of drug use in countries at various income levels. In addition, participants will be able to improve their skills in critical review and evaluation of pharmacoepidemiological studies.
Participants will have opportunities to exchange knowledge and experience throughout the lectures in the course. Further opportunities for networking will be provided during group assignments with other participants in a multicultural and multidisciplinary context.
